Mood Board

Hey guys! Today, I created a mood board based on The Dark Knight. Using Canva, I compiled many images that I believe represent the movie's mood. Here’s the outcome of my mood board: 

Mood Board Breakdown

Looking at this collection of images, you can really feel the dark and intense mood that made The Dark Knight such a powerful movie. The whole board uses a lot of dark colors such as black and gray, perfectly capturing Gotham City's gloomy atmosphere. The city shots show a Gotham that never sleeps. Wet streets reflect streetlights, tall buildings disappear into the darkness, and the amazing shot of looking up at the skyscrapers with the bat symbol breaking through makes Gotham feel like a real place, but one where danger lurks around every corner. We also see police tape from crime scenes next to playing cards (Joker's love of games), and investigation boards filled with photos and clippings that showcase the detective work happening behind the scenes. The dark silhouettes of Batman show him as this powerful, mysterious figure watching over his city. 

Moreover, the "Why So Serious?" image and the wall of "HA HA HA" graffiti perfectly captures how the Joker brings a frightening kind of madness to Gotham. The mood board also includes some images that remind us of the movie's darker themes like weapons laid out on blueprints, shadowy figures, and dramatic lighting that creates a sense of tension. Even the starry night sky image feels mysterious rather than peaceful, adding to the overall depressed theme. Overall, this mood board does an incredible job of capturing the complex, captivating essence of the movie.
