What's up, my fellow followers! Today, I'm sharing what it's been like making this short film mostly by myself.
My brother has been helping me with filming. He helped capture some of the shots and provided an extra set of hands when needed. When it comes to editing, I've been doing it myself. Editing is challenging and incredibly time-consuming. Each small edit takes time, and there are moments when I'm spending an extensive amount of time on just a few seconds of film to get the timing right. For DaVinci Resolve, I had to solve every issue alone, and I feel like with a team, the workload would be much more manageable.
The most challenging part of working alone is definitely the editing process. Without team members, every decision falls on me. I'm responsible for the visual effects, sound design, color grading, and every other small detail. At times it can feel overwhelming, but I don't mind it all because I'm learning so much about filmmaking by doing everything myself. Who knows? Maybe I could become a professional filmmaker one day. Besides that, I am thankful that I have someone who is helping me film, which makes the process a bit easier and more enjoyable.
