Hey everyone! Today I want to talk about how my character is represented. My main character is a regular 17-year-old student who spends a lot of time online. The character represents today's digital generation, someone who is deeply connected with the digital world. My character is just like most of us, someone who uses their phone and social media as a normal part of life. When strange things start happening, we see the character react like any of us would such as trying to reach friends and family, checking different apps, and becoming scared when nothing works.
I didn't give the character many defining traits because I wanted the viewers to see themselves in this situation. Everyone can relate to the fear of being disconnected and alone. I think this approach works well for a short film opener where the focus is on building tension and fear. I believe the character feels real and relatable because they react in ways that make sense.
