Hey everyone! I wanted to share how YouTube has evolved my editing skills. When I first started editing, I had no idea what I was doing. I didn't know anything about editing, lighting, or even how to hold a camera properly. But then I discovered this amazing world of YouTube tutorials, and everything changed. I spent a good chunk of my time watching videos about editing tricks, and slowly but surely, I started getting better. The best part of YouTube is that it has tons of information on how to film/edit ranging from beginner to advanced levels.
Learning from YouTube has also shown me that there's always more than one way to do things. Sometimes I'll watch three different tutorials about the same editing technique, and each creator does it differently. This taught me that there's no single "right" way to edit, it's all about what works best for your story. I've learned so much about color correction, sound design, and special effects, but the most important thing I've learned is to keep trying new things. Every time I think I have learned everything, I find another helpful tutorial that shows me something new I can try.
